©1999-2003 Fellowship Community Church

Welcome to the Fellowship Community Church Web site. We are a faith community that is led by God through prayer and we have been part of the Denver metropolitan area since 1880. We value worship with a clear sense of God’s presence through vibrant music and the expository teaching of God’s Word. Here you will find a home, where you will be encouraged to know God and make Him known. Join others just like you this Sunday at 9:00 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.

Check out the rest of our site for the specific ministries we offer. You will find that there are many opportunities to grow deeper in your faith. We want to answer your questions and help you along your spiritual journey.

Worship Services:
We meet each Sunday in the Sanctuary at both
9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Please join us!

"My Church and AWANA" Month

Frequently Asked Questions -
Pastor Search Committee
(more Questions and Answers added all the time)

Q: How do I nominate someone for our Senior Pastor position?

A: Easy! Simply provide any Pastor Search Committee member your nominee's name. It can be provided either verbally or in written form. (Their e-mail address is psc@fcchurch.org). The Committee will then enter that name into the formal process.

Q: Why don't we hire a Senior Pastor from the qualified candidates already within our own church?

A: It is entirely possible that God will lead us to His man within the Body here at FCC and we are open to this possibility. In the meantime, we have collaborated with our Elders, Church Bylaws, the EFCA, and spent hours in prayer to come up with a list of requirements a man must meet to qualify as a candidate for our Senior Pastor position.

Q: Will I be able to provide my input as to what our new Senior Pastor looks like?

A: Yes, of course! First, the All-Church Survey taken last fall included a section where you put down your preferences and we have access to this information. Second, as we continue to work on the communication process, we will look to improve the two-way part of that process.

Q: Does a candidate have to be a graduate of a particular Bible college?

A: No, but in accordance with our specific candidate qualifications he must have a Masters of Divinity degree or higher from an accredited Seminary. Our Bylaws require that a qualified applicant either is or becomes a member of the EFCA Ministerial Association and to do that, one of the requirements is to have a Masters of Divinity degree from an approved evangelical school.

Q: How will you ensure that the candidate has a passion for missions and community outreach?

A: These two particular areas are detailed in the candidates profile portion of MinisterConnection. We will also discuss these critical Philosophy of Ministry areas during the interview process.

Q: How will you determine the candidates' style of leadership?

A: In addition to the candidates profile in MinisterConnection, another important part of this filtering process is the Ministry Match. This test provides insight into personality, as well as spiritual and ministry gifts, including leadership style. Finally, this will be an important part of the overall interview process.

Q: What are the guidelines in our Bylaws for a Senior Pastor?

A: The qualifications for the Senior Pastor position are found in Section 5 of Bylaws. The role of Senior Pastor is such that he also must meet the qualifications found in Titus 1:6-9 and 1 Timothy 3:1-7 for overseers (or Elders), as well as qualifications in the Bylaws for Elders found in Section 8.1.2.2. (Bylaws)
