It is a joy to encourage you today. We are entering a very busy week and it is good for me to give thanks to God for each of YOU! The flock here at FCC is a joy to me and my family! We are truly better together!
We shared our lives in the Live Nativity last Saturday with over 450 people. It was a blessed event because so many of you served so gracefully. Many of you invited guests and I rejoice at your willingness to invite them. We pray for the gospel to bear fruit in their lives.
Our next outreach will be on Christmas Eve. We have planned a joy-filled service with opportunities for all cultures and all generations! We will be meeting Tuesday at 2:30, 4:00 and 5:30. The service will be centered around the Christ Candle. Pray for all who will attend. Pray that the Lord Jesus Christ will be exalted and worshipped. Pray for all who will lead us to be filled with the Spirit and with wisdom. Pray for the tech team and the musicians.
The message is clear: It is the message of great joy for all people!
NIV Luke 2:9-14
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."
One of our members is willing to match any special monetary gifts we receive for the rest of 2019. The opportunity to give a matching gift will continue through Sunday December 29. If you wish to give such an offering please mark it with the word: "matching." We have placed a "matching " option online in CCB at fcchurch.org for those who wish to give in this way. Thank you for your generosity.
Please pray for Pastor David as he will preach this Sunday. I will be in New Jersey to officiate the funeral for my brother Jean D'Andre who I served with for 15 years. His home-going is a reminder of the need to be sensitive to all who grieve during this season. Betsy and I will return on Sunday so we are excited to celebrate Jesus with you on Christmas Eve.
I continually pray for you that God will show up Big in your life! May this Christmas be a season of miracles in your life!
