Sermon:  In Habakkuk’s Prayer Closet    Habakkuk 3:1-16

1. The term Shigionoth is used in Psalm 7.  Read Psalm 7 and note any similarities with Habakkuk 3.
2. Discuss the significance of the phrase “In wrath remember mercy.”
3. How does 3:3-4 describe the scene at Mt. Sinai?  See Exodus 20:18-20
4. Compare 3:14-15 with Psalm 110:5-6.  Did Habakkuk foresee the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ?
5. Discuss the term: “salvation” in Habakkuk 1:2, 3:13 and 3:18.  How does Habakkuk’s understanding of salvation grow throughout this letter?
6. Memorize Habakkuk 3:17-19.
