Sermon:  His Masterpiece in His Master Plan

Text:  Ephesians 2:10, verse for the year.

  1. Discuss the quote by Tim Keller – The Gospel is not the ABC’s of the Christian life but the A-Z of the Christian life.
  2. How is the gospel portrayed in Ephesians 2:1-9?
  3. Discuss these formulas for the gospel: 

False gospel:  Faith + good works = Heaven.   

True gospel:  Faith + Nothing = Heaven > (leads to) good works.

  1. Review the “good works” passages in Titus 2:14, 3:1, 8, 14.  Why are good works so important? Share some examples of good works.  Remember “good works” can be very small acts of kindness!
